NEW DELHI: 41 Muslim doctors are among 798 candidates to have cracked the Combined Medical Services (CMS) Examination 2019 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
The exams were conducted in two parts. There will be a computer-based examination for 500 marks held on July 21, 2019 followed by a personality test for 100 marks held from October to December.
Candidates, who qualified in order of merit, have been recommended for appointment to the posts of:
(i) Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in the Railways
(ii) Assistant Medical Officer in Indian Ordnance Factories Health Service
(iii) Junior Scale Posts in Central Health Service
(iv) General Duty Medical Officer in New Delhi Municipal Council
(v) General Duty Medical Officer Gr-II in East Delhi Municipal Corporation, North Delhi Municipal Corporation and South Delhi Municipal Corporation.

A total of 39 Muslim doctors (17 are females) made to the list of 440 successful candidates in 2018 UPSC Combined Medical Services Exam.
In 2017 UPSC CMSE exam, 40 Muslims were in the list of 637 successful candidates.
