4 women among eight held for killing sweeper

Hyderabad, January 05: The Amberpet police of East zone on Wednesday arrested eight persons, including four women of a family, in a case of petty argument resulting in the killing of a 40-year-old woman.

The prime accused, N. Santosh, his mother, wife, two sisters and three friends, attacked K. Padma, in front of her house at Raghunagathnagar in Amberpet five days ago. Santosh earlier had a tiff with Padma’s son, Sai Kiran, in an inebriated condition and came there for retaliation, the East Zone DCP, Y. Gangadhar, said at a press conference.
