4 booked for duping India cricketer Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s father

Meerut: Four persons, including a woman Delhi Police constable, have been booked for allegedly duping the father of India cricketer Bhuvneshwar Kumar of Rs 83 lakh in a land deal.

According to SSP DK Dubey, a case was registered at Ganganagar police station here upon a complaint by Kiranpal Singh, the father of the medium pacer, against one Ranvir Singh, his wife, son Arvind and daughter Lovely, the head constable at Sonia Vihar police station in New Delhi.

Dubey said that the complaint has been registered under various sections of IPC including 420 related to fraud against the four persons for allegedly not drawing up the sale deed for a plot of land even after taking money from Singh. The accused family hails from Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh, he added.

The SSP said a letter has been sent to the Delhi Police Commissioner seeking the “arrest/suspension” of Lovely in connection with the case.
