2G: ED Files Chargsheet on Swan Telecom, Others

New Delhi, April 09: Enforcement Directorate today filed a chargesheet against telecom firms for FEMA violation involving Rs 4,300 crores in 2G case, sources said.

ED named Swan Telecom, Loop Mobile, Loop Telecom and S-Tel in its chargesheet filed in a Delhi court.

ED also said that it suspected FEMA contravention by Virgin Mobile, a Tata joint venture and was analysing the pricing issue of shares between Unitech and Telenor.

Investigation under FEMA revealed large scale contraventions by telecom firms and their associates in 2G spectrum case, ED said. It added that it is looking into cash guarantee issued to Sistema.
