Hyderabad, October 16: More than 250 policemen and members of Maithri committees today donated blood as part of the Police Commemoration Week. The blood donation camp was organised by the Hyderabad city police at Nampally. The blood collected from the donors would be used by Talassemia and Sickle Cell Society for children suffering from the disease.
Thalassemia and sickle cell anemia are blood disorders which require blood transfusion every month. City police commissioner A K Khan inaugurated the blood donation camp.
