Botsa dares Naidu to prove charges against him

Hyderabad, October 16: Panchayat raj minister Botsa Satyanarayana today dared the opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu to prove the charges against him on issues pertaining to encroachment of lakes and temple lands and liquor syndicate in Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam districts.

The TDP leader should stop making allegations if he cannot prove the charges, Satyanarayana said.

The minister even proposed Naidu to constitute a TDP fact-finding committee to bring out the facts. “Naidu can have senior TDP leaders belonging to my (Vizianagaram) district P Ashok Gajapathi Raju, K Yerran Naidu, Dadi Veerabhadra Rao and two others in the committee and I am ready to be present before them with relevant information on any date and place,’’ he said.

Releasing a copy of an open letter addressed to Chandrababu Naidu at a press conference here today, the minister stressed the need that the persons making allegations against others have the responsibility to prove them.

“I have proposed to Naidu to have a fact-finding committee comprising TDP leaders since he has no trust in the CBI. I even take the responsibility if any member of our joint family owns lands illegally in Vizag,’’ he remarked.

Asked about the internal bickerings in the state Congress, the minister denied having any such disturbances in the party.

“As of now, there is no need for having any change in the government or the Cabinet,’’ he added.
