Botad: The Botad police claim to have booked two persons while routine inspection with fake notes of ₹44,500 from car number GJ 07 R 1414 near Trikoni Khodiyar Temple.
The duo identified as Goganbhai aka Bhanu Mohanbhai Chandela and Lakhmandas Guru Sasiyabapu hailing from Jasdan were caught with 26 fake notes of ₹2000 of Indian currency in total ₹52 thousand in fake currency and 37 notes of ₹500 total ₹18,500.
Cops have seized all the notes, two mobile phones and a car which belongs to them.
A case against both accused has been registered. Sub-inspector of police Y.B. Rana said that they are looking to carry out the further investigation.
