1422 posts in Transco to be filled by Dec: Jagadish

Hyderabad: To make Telangana a surplus State in power sector, the Telangana government has taken a crucial decision to fill 1422 posts in the Electricity department, Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy announced this at the Secretariat here.

Talking to mediapersons here, the minister said the posts will be filled in a transparent manner and the candidates should not trust brokers or others, who may lure them by offering jobs. The department-wise posts are: Transco 206, SPDCL 201, NPDCL 159, Genco 856. He appealed to the Engineering graduates, who will appear for the examination to prepare thoroughly and complain to 8332983914 against such persons.

Taking a cue from Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, they are issuing a notification to fill these posts, he said. Candidates selected will join duties from January 1 2016, as examinations for various posts will be conducted by the end of November and appointment letters will be given by December, he said, adding that the details will be made online. He said the government was committed to keep the promises made to provide nine-hour power supply to the farming activity in the State.

The minister alleged that the previous governments’ negligence and failure to address the grievances of the farmers was leading to their suicides. “The farmers should not end their lives as good days are ahead under the TRS Government”, he noted. The Transco and Genco officials will coordinate for the need-based supply and production of power as the projects are set to complete as per schedule. (NSS)
