Madikeri, August 19: Fourteen people from Kodagu including T Nazir, the kingpin behind the 2008 Bangalore serial blasts, have been booked for direct or indirect involvement in anti-national activities.
Superintendent of Police Manjunath Annigeri told UNI today that Nazir had direct links with People’s Democratic Party leader Abdul Nasser Madani, who was arrested by the Karnataka police two days ago in Kollam district of Kerala.
The other 13 accused were in touch with Nazir, who arrived in Kodagu and lived there between 2005 and 2007. He was in constant touch with Madani.
Daily discourses, exercises and illegal activities were secretly going on in their hideout at Hosatota near Madapur, the SP said.
The accused were hatching plans in Kodagu and Kerala, he said.
