Jaipur: VHP leader Praveen Togadia today said that not one but 100 crore people of the country are the successors of Ashok Singhal, a day after Union Minister Uma Bharti reportedly claimed to be “successor” to late VHP leader.
“Singhal is alive in the heart of every Hindu. 100 crore people are his successor,” Togadia said here when asked about the comments of Bharti who was the VHP leader before joining BJP.
Togadia, while talking to reporters, said construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya will be the fitting tribute to Singhal, who was a prominent face of the temple movement.
He said litigations on the Ram temple issue should be scrapped and bill should be passed for the construction of the temple in Ayodhya.
The VHP leader said he is hopeful that good days would come and Ram temple would be constructed. On the issue of intolerance, Togadia said that everyone in the democracy has the right to speak but it would be better if they (who are talking about intolerance) had raised the voice of Hindus also.
