Faridabad: A man has been arrested for allegedly raping his 14-year-old daughter, police said on Saturday.
The victim, in her complaint, alleged that her father, Neemka, had raped her couple of times in past three months while finding alone at home.
The accused also threatened to kill her if she refused to surrender to his demand, the girl alleged and added Neemka also used to beat her brutally.
On September 30, the accused attempted to rape her again, but she managed to escape from his clutches, police said.
She filed a complaint with Sector-31 police station yesterday, following which Neemka was booked under section 376, 506 and 323 of IPC and section 6 of POCSO Act, they said.
Investigating Officer Sub-Inspector Sunita said the accused has been arrested and was produced in court on Saturday. He has been sent to Jail till further hearing of the case, added officer.
