Mr. Zahid Ali Khan appeals for prayers for Mina victims

Hyderabad: Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily expressed his deep grief over the demise of large number of Hajj pilgrims who died during stampede occurred on the occasion of stoning the Satans. He appealed to the Muslims to pray for those who were laid down their lives in the accident.

In a statement issued by him yesterday, he mentioned that Govt. of Saudi Arabia makes special arrangement for the millions of Hajj pilgrims but due to the occurrence of two tragedies during the current Hajj season sent the shocking wave in the entire Muslim world. Throughout the world, Eid-ul-Azha is being celebrated but after getting the news of this tragedy the entire environment turned sorrowful. In India, Eid-ul-Azha is being celebrated today. This incident has pained the Muslims. From India, more than one lakh Hajj pilgrims go to Saudi Arabia. The relatives of These Hajj pilgrims are anxious to know the details about the welfare of their relatives.

Mr. Zahid Ali Khan spoke to incharge of Rubath of Makkah, Mr. Husain Mohammed Shareef and Special Officer of Telangana Hajj Committee, Prof. S.A. Shukoor and sought information about the condition of Hajj pilgrims. He expressed his satisfaction that almost all the Hajj pilgrims of India are safe. He expressed his grief on the demise of a woman from Hyderabad by name Bibi Jan of L.B. Nagar. He expressed his condolences to the bereaved family. Mr. Zahid Ali Khan also appealed to the Muslims to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha in a simple manner and pray for the welfare of the Hajj pilgrims of this country. He advised the members of the Telangana Hajj committee to get information about the Hajj pilgrims of the State by getting in touch with the officials of Indian Consulate. In charge of Rubath at Makkah also promised that he would inform Siasat Urdu Daily about the welfare of Hajj pilgrims.
