CPI firm on taking out Chalo Assembly today

Condemning the State government’s efforts to obstruct ‘Chalo Assembly’ program proposed by 400 organizations under the one roof ‘Telangana Democratic Front’ on September 30, Communist Party of India Telangana State Council made it clear that the ‘Chalo Assembly’ program will be organized as announced earlier on September 30 and warned the TRS government that the Left Parties activists will face the government and police attitude.

In a pressnote, CPI Telangana State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy urged the people to make the ‘Chalo Assembly’ program a big success by staging agitation programs where the police resorts arrests on September 30. Obstructing the ‘Chalo Assembly’ program was nothing but undemocratic act, he said and alleged that the police were resorting to arrests of CPI leaders in Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, Nizamabad, Rangareddy and Hyderabad. It was not correct on the part of the government to resort to arrests, to put bind over cases, house arrests and setting up police pickets in front of leaders’ residences, he alleged. He also alleged that the police were trying to obstruct the ‘Chalo Assembly’ program by seizing roads and railways. (NSS)
