Atrocities against Minorities and Dalits: Modi Govt. trying to divert the attention of the people from the main issues – Here are the evidences

BJP fought the election in 2014 on the agenda of development and promised development of all “Sab Ka Sath Sab Ka Vikas” but after winning the election it failed to fulfill any of its promises made during the election campaign. When public started asking questions about the promises they made, they started diverting the attention by polarizing the community and attacking Minorities and Dalits.

BJP blames Congress that they are involved in many scams which is not right rather its allies were involved, major scam are done by the allies for example 2G by a leader of DMK. But in case of NDA, its main leaders are involved in major controversies.

Lalit Modi, first Chairman and Commissioner of IPL and former Vice President of BCCI was suspended from BCCI after being accused of misconduct, indiscipline and financial irregularities. BCCI also launched an investigation against him. Investigating committee found him guilty of the charges. Shortly before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) launched an investigation against him for alleged financial irregularities, Modi moved to London. While Modi was in London, Congress-led Government revoked his passport. When Modi challenged Government’s decision in the Delhi High Court, BJP leader Sushma Swaraj’s daughter Bansuri Swaraj represented him. On the recommendation of Sushma Swaraj (then an opposition leader), Lalit Modi received the travel papers to go to Portugal. Modi also revealed that on 25th August 2011, BJP leader Vasundhara Raje (then an opposition leader) signed a document supporting his application to the British authorities. It was also alleged that in returned Lalit Modi had transferred millions of rupees to a company owned by Vasundhara Raje and her son Dushyant Singh, using a shell company. This is how senior leaders of BJP shielded Lalit Modi who was wanted in several cases of financial irregularities in India.

Vyapam scam is an admission and recruitment scam. Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB), popularly known by its Hindi acronym “Vyapam” is a autonomous body incorporated by the State Government the responsible of conducting several entrance tests in the state. These entrance exams are held for recruitment in government jobs and admissions in educational institutes of the state. The scam involved helping undeserving candidates, who bribed politicians and MPPEB officials through middlemen, to get high ranks in these entrance tests. A number of people connected to the scam and its investigation, died during the course of investigation. The opposition parties and activists alleged that several of these deaths happened under suspicious circumstances. In 2015, the Special Task Force (STF) submitted a list to High Court, naming 23 people who are believed to have died “unnatural death”. Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan did not ordered CBI probe even as the death count in the Vyapam recruitment scandal rises by the day.

During election campaign, Mr. Modi said that he will make necessary provisions to bring back the black money within 100 days and every citizen of India will get more than 10 lakhs in their accounts but till now not a single rupee credited into the account of any citizen of India. To cover the failure of the Govt., BJP passed Black Money Bill in the Parliament which has only provisions dealing with tax benefits if anyone voluntarily declares their black money.

Promoting feeling of enmity or hatred between two different classes of citizens is an offence not only under section 125 of the Representative of the Peoples Act but also offence under section 153 (A) and Section 505(2) of Indian Penal Code but none of the extremists are arrested for giving hate speech.

When NDA was in opposition they were against of Aadhar Card but when they came to power they are trying to make it compulsory for public schemes. When Supreme Court argue about the privacy of the citizen, Attorney General of India says that if poor wants benefit from public scheme they need to sacrifice their privacy. This shows the attitude of the Govt. towards poor.

Land Acquisition Bill Amendment Act was introduced in the Parliament which was anti-farmer and pro-rich. The provision of the bill favoured industrialist as industrialists can acquire the land from the farmer without his consent.

NDA Govt. tries to take the credit of the growth in the economy of the county and rise in GDP but the fact is that this growth in the economy and GDP is due to global slowdown and fall in global oil price because of instability in the Middle East.

To hide all this flaws, Modi Govt. tries to divert the attention by raising unnecessary issues like population control, Hindu Rastra etc and by increasing the atrocities against Minorities and Dalits.
