12% reservation campaign launched by Siasat gets popularity at National level also

Hyderabad: The campaign launched by Siasat Urdu Daily for providing 12% reservation for Muslims reached national level. Muslim MPs of other states have started reminding Mr. KCR about his election promise.

Mr. E. Ahmed former MP of Muslim League and Union Minister wrote a letter to Mr. KCR requesting him to formulate BCs Commission immediately and to start Social and Economic Survey in order to ensure reservation for Muslims.

It may be noted that not only the Muslims students but also other Muslims voted in favour of TRS believing the promise made by Mr. KCR.

Mr. E. Ahmed lamented that despite the lapse of months, nothing has been done by the Govt. to provide reservations for Muslims. He requested the Govt. to ensure reservations for Muslims before filling up 1, 07, 744 vacant posts. He reminded Mr. KCR that Muslim League had also supported the formation of smaller states. It had also extended support for the formation of separate Telangana State. Former Congress Govt. had provided 4% reservations to Muslims. The Muslim students were expecting that Govt. of Telangana would provide 12% reservation to them but it did not happen.
