Madrid : Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane said that his boys are fully geared up for their quarter-final clash against Wolfsburg in Champions League, calling on his side to head into the match as if it is a final.
“It will be a tough match but we are well prepared. We will approach it like a final, we cannot relax, the win against Barcelona is already forgotten,” the Frenchman was quoted as saying by goal.com.
Insisting that Real were in good shape at the moment, Zidane expected his side to continue to concentrate on their strength in order to clinch the title.
Zidane, however, said that Wolfsburg had fought quite hard to reach so far and asked Real to remain alert against them.
“Wolfsburg have fought hard to be here and deserve to be here. They may have had problems in the Bundesliga, but this is a completely different competition. We are not untouchable and Wolfsburg are able to hurt us. They have a fast attack, so we have to be alert,” said Zidane.
Real made it to the quarter-final of the Champions League after completing 4-0 aggregate triumph over Roma in their last 16 tie.
Zidane’s side will play against Wolfsburg in their first leg of the quarter-final clash at Volkswagen Arena on Thursday. (ANI)
