Zakura attack reflects Centre’s weakness: Congress

Despite our best efforts to corner Pakistan, if we are still being targeted then it clearly shows how fragile Jammu and Kashmir’s security system is. The Centre should immediately take stock of the situation. Nevertheless it reflects Centre’s weakness,” Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit told ANI.’

Around two-three soldiers are critical and currently undergoing treatment, said Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Inspector General Deepak Kumar.

The attack occurred around 7.30 PM when three SSB companies, around 130 soldiers, were returning after patrolling. The militants open fired at them which then was aptly retaliated by the security forces.
