Zakir Naik who has been accused of radicalising Muslims is living in Malaysia. His TV channel, Peace TV, which reaches over 200 million people, has been blocked in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
In an interview to the Week, Dr Zakir Naik claims that religious speakers whether they be of Christianity Hinduism Islam or Judaism are bound to be followed by millions, because of their popularity but if anyone says he was inspired to kill innocent people because of Zakir Naik then he is lying.
On the question of his coming to India, Mr Naik says he will return to India only if it will benefit him. Expressing faith in judicial system Dr Zakir Naik hoped that he would be acquitted after trial but feared that that would disrupt his mission and several years would be wasted in that.
