Hyderabad: Nahjul Balagha Society had a golden history in the past. Its performance was affected after the demise of former president Agha Husain Zabit and General Secretary Mr. Karar Kazmi.
On the direction of Siasat editor Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, a meeting of the society was conducted under the chairmanship of Dr. Shaukat Ali Mirza at Siasat office. Elections of the society were held during the meeting.
Dr. Shaukat Ali Mirza was elected president, Mr. Taqi Askar Vila as General Secretary and Mr. Mujahed Husain Khan was elected as treasurer. Besides Colonel Akhtar Ali Zaidi, Mr. Iftekhar Husain, Secretary Faiz-e-Aam Trust, Maulana Agha Mujahed Husain and Nawab Abbas Ali Khan were included in 5-member board.
Mr. Zahid Ali Khan urged the society to use modern technology. He said a large number of admirers of Hazrat Ali (RAA) are present in Hyderabad hence a grand building named after Hazrat Ali (RAA) should be constructed in Hyderabad.
