Hyderabad: Siasat editor Mr. Zahid Ali Khan said that Siasat Daily will establish an old age home on 15 acre land with the cost of 4.5 Cr near Viqarabad. The construction will be complete within 6 months. Mr. Khan announced this while delivering presidential address on the occasion of senior citizen cards distribution function held by Siasat Daily and Minorities Development forum, at Mahboob Husain Jigar Hall.
Mr. Syed Junaid Salik Air custom Officer, Mr. V Bhasker Chari additional commissioner GHMC, Mr. Abid Siddiqui, president MDF, Mr. Mohammed Abdus Sattar Khan General Secretary Aasra GHMC attended as chief guests.
Speaking further Mr. Zahid Ali Khan said that there is no one to look after parents of youth residing abroad with their families. After witnessing so many incidences like this, Siasat decided to establish old age home for elderly citizens.
He also revealed that Siasat in collaboration with MDF had begun issuing senior citizen cards 5 years ago, since then around 1 lakh cards have been distributed by Siasat. He also mentioned Du Ba Du programme initiated by Siasat and MDF which has taken form of a movement where thousands of matrimonial alliances are settled. He said family disputes are also solved through Siasat daily, for which a separate cell has been formed.
