Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, managing editor Siasat daily urged all Unani doctors not to develop inferiority complex and feel proud to call themselves as Hakeem instead of doctors; as the word Hakeem means one having wisdom and intelligence. Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan was addressing the felicitation function of meritorious students of Luqman Unani Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre. Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan exhorted students to gain expertise in preparation of medicines and carry out research on a specific disease and invent new medicines.
Dr. Mohammed Aqil Quadri Principal College in his report revealed that Luqman Unani Medical College was established in 1996 and 9 batches passed out from the college so far, of which 120 Unani graduates are serving in various places of the country. Now 40 students are given admission each year.
