The former Vice Chancellor of American University Ras ul Khaima Dr. Shaukat Ali Mirza is one among the philanthropists who along with his wife arranges for educational and training of poor children. He is also the chief of Engineers Without Borders (EWB). He founded Healing Hand Foundation in 2012 under which education is provided to girls and boys belonging to poor families in areas like Qayam Nagar, Attapur, Yaqutpura, Aman Nagar and Maula Ali. He has gained the support of Faiz-e-Aam Trust and Siasat Daily.
Siasat editor Mr. Zahed Ali Khan along with Secretary Faiz-e-Aam Trust Mr. Iftekhar Husain and Trustee Mr. Rizwan Hyder visited Healing Hand training centre located at Attapur. He hailed the services of Dr. Shaukat Ali Mirza.
Speaking to Siasat correspondent Dr. Shaukat Ali Mirza told that this foundation sponsors 300 students from KG to PG. Nearly 20 women work in the tailoring centre founded by the society. On the occasion Mr. Zahed Ali Khan pledged to help every institution which works for educational and economic development of the community.
