The infamous pahelwan of Old city Hamza Bin Omer aka Zafar Pahelwan and his kin Moosa Bin Abdullah allegedly involved in the sensational murder case of rowdy sheeter in a Gym were released from Chanchalguda jail this evening.
Yesterday the Metropolitan Sessions Judge at Nampally granted conditional bail to them and directed the accused to furnish two sureties of ten thousand each and also to sign the attendance register at Kanchanbagh police station on alternate day. The Kanchanbagh police are planning to approach the High Court seeking the cancellation of Zafar’s bail.
On March 19 History-sheeter, Ahmed Ali Khan aka Ilyas, was hacked to death while working out at Gods power gym in Santoshnagar area under Kanchanbagh Police station limits. The police in April arrested the accused No1 Zafar pahelwan on the alleged charges that he masterminded the killing with the help of his family members and other followers.
Deceased rowdy sheeter Ilyas allegedly assaulted one of Pahelwan’s acquaintances and set on fire his bike. In retaliation, the gang members caught and tortured him after confining him in their hideout and let him off with a warning of not to report the matter to the police.
The victim approached the Reinbazar police who registered a criminal case against them. During trial of the case, Ilyas deposed evidence against Pahelwan’s gang members notwithstanding their threats. Angered over this, Pahelwan allegedly hatched a plot to eliminate him.
