It is very heartening to note that significant strides have been made by Muslims in the pursuit of education, employment, health and preventing infant deaths. Mr. Zafar Javeed member National supervisory Committee for Minorities (Govt. of India) in a press note expressed these views and said that after the Sachar Committee report came to light which revealed that Muslims were more backward than SC ST classes, many schemes were launched for Muslims including Madaris, Health Centres, Polytechnic Colleges, Banks etc. Employment opportunities were made available in CRPF, BSF, CISF banks, insurance etc for Muslims.
Hoping that the current trend will continue, Zafar Javeed urged the government of India to ensure bank loans for business to minorities. He said encouragement to Muslims in the fields of education and employment will boost their morale.
