Yuvraj sees orthopedic doctor

Rajkot, Dec 14: Explosive batsman Yuvraj Singh today consulted an orthopedic surgeon after feeling pain in the little finger of his left hand.

“The Indian Team management will take a final decision on Monday whether Yuvraj would play or not, after looking at the report submitted by the orthopedic surgeon,” Niranjan Shah said.

India and Sri Lanka teams arrived here on Sunday for the first one-day international of the five-match series, beginning on Tuesday.

The teams arrived here on a chartered plane amidst tight security. Yuvraj was taken to Dr Dinkar Virparia’s clinic for check-up after the left-hand batsman complained of pain in his finger, sources in the Saurashtra Cricket Association said.

Later he was taken to the Rajkot Imaging Centre where an X-ray of his finger was taken.
