Chandigarh, April 06: Dashing left-hand batsman Yuvraj Singh joined in the chorus today, demanding Bharat Ratna for Sachin Tendulkar, saying the batting icon deserved it the most.
“Sachin Tendulkar should get Bharat Ratna for his services to the game and he deserve it the most,” he told reporters on his return to his home town here.
The man-of-the-tournament in the just-concluded World Cup, Yuvraj said his happiest moment came when India won the coveted trophy.
“The moment (captain MS) Dhoni hit the winning six, I cherished the moment most,” he said.
The middle-order batsman also added that all matches from quarterfinals to the final were important for the team, and not just the semi-final clash with arch-rivals Pakistan.
“All the games in the World Cup were important…there was no point in winning two games and then losing in the final,” Yuvraj said.
