Kolkata, April 20: Spinners Yusuf Pathan and Shakib-Al-Hasan scalped three wickets each as Kolkata Knight Riders fought back to restrict Kochi Tuskers Kerala to 132 for seven in their Indian Premier League match here today.
Put into bat, the Tuskers had a flying start, courtesy Brendon McCullum and Mahela Jayawardene but once the inform opening duo were back in the hut, Kochi got caught in the spin web of Pathan (3/20) and Shakib (3/28) and lost the momentum.
Ravindra Jadeja top-scored for the Tuskers with a nice cameo of 29 from 18 balls studded with three sixes and one boundary at Eden Gardens here.
The Tuskers had a breezy start, thanks to McCullum who smashed Lee for two boundaries and one six for 15 runs in the third over.
Gambhir soon brought in the spin duo of Iqbal Abdulla and Shakib to put brakes on the run flow.
