The year 2012 seems to be very fruitful for Yusuf Pathan, both professionally and personally. After missing the second part of 2011 due to injury, Yusuf not only regained his place in his state team, Baroda, but also returned to the Indian team for the Asia Cup. After celebrating success on the professional front, Yusuf is now looking to settle down in life.
If the grapevine is to be believed, the 29-year-old hard-hitting batsman is all set to get engaged this summer to a Mumbai girl.
The bride-to-be is a physiotherapist from Mumbai, belonging to the same religion. Naturally, both the families are happy and have agreed to bring them together.
Though everything depends on Yusuf’s availability owing to national duty and Indian Premier League commitments, the engagement date is yet to be finalised.
Said to be more talented than brother Irfan, Yusuf took time to come out of the shadow of his younger sibling and made his India debut in the 2007 World T20 final against Pakistan in Johannesburg. It was followed by a successful stint at the inaugural IPL season.
