Labour Minister and Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee president Danam Nagender on Sunday claimed that the Congress government was properly implementing all the schemes started by former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
Talking to reporters after paying floral tributes to YSR at Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee office at Nampally to mark YSR’s 64th birth anniversary, Nagender said that there were no lapses in the implementation of YSR’s schemes. However, he asked the opposition parties to identify the specific lapses, if any, so that they could be rectified. Describing YSR as the asset of Congress party, he said that the former chief breathed his last as a loyal worker of the Congress party. He said the State Government would never dilute his schemes and implement them in letter and spirit.
Nagender alleged that some opposition parties were wrongly accusing the State Government of diluting YSR’s schemes only to draw political mileage. He said the government would continue all the welfare schemes launched by YSR. He said the Congress workers would work hard to fulfill YSR’s dream of making Rahul Gandhi the next Prime Minister of India after 2014 elections.
