Secondary Education Minister K Parthasarathi today alleged Former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy’s family was using the fact of his demise for deriving political mileage though the inquiry committee confirmed it was an accident. Addressing a press conference here, he flayed YSR’s family members for raising a controversy over the death during the election campaign despite aviation experts report confirming the helicopter crash was an accident. ‘Why did Y S Jaganmohan Reddy not raise the issue during his Odarpu Yatra which went on for two years? ‘His (YSR’s) death was suddenly made into a controversy and it is only for political mileage’ the Minister criticized. Hoping the Congress would win at least six seats in the Assembly by-polls, the Minister claimed the response from people during the campaign for the Congress party was overwhelming. UNI
