YSRC’s victory will lead to AP’s bifurcation: TGV

Minor Irrigation Minister TG Venkatesh on Sunday said that voting for the YSR Congress party would be like voting for bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

Talking to reporters here, Venkatesh alleged that Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy was having a secret pact with Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao over supporting each other in Seemandhra and Telangana regions. He said both the leaders have conspired to bifurcate the State after establishing political supremacy in the respective regions. Therefore, he said votes in favour of Jagan would ultimately lead to division of Andhra Pradesh.

However, the minister said that there was no threat to the Kiran Kumar Reddy Government in the State till 2014. He said the State Government would not fall even if YSR Congress party wins all 18 Assembly and one Lok Sabha seats in the ensuing by-elections scheduled to be held on June 12.

Venkatesh also asked Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu not to level baseless allegations against the ruling party. He also advised Naidu to retire from active politics due to his growing age and handover the TDP’s charge to his brother-in-law and cine actor N Balakrishna. (INN)
