YSRCP has demanded that the Election Commission issue a joint notification to the vacant MLC posts to conduct elections in Andhra Pradesh State.
Speaking to the media here on Saturday, Party leader Jyothula Nehru said it is not proper on the part of Election Commission to issue separate notifications to the vacant MLC posts. He said he approached the Court seeking joint notification to Krishna and Visakha districts vacant MLC posts.
Nehru said his party would field candidates in Kurnool, Prakasham and Guntur districts as they have majority. He lashed out at Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for treating ‘Bhoomi Puja’ for Capital City as his family affair. He slammed the Chief Minister for failing to invite the Opposition parties’ leaders. (NSS)
