The YSR Congress legislators on Wednesday stalled the proceedings of the Legislative Assembly insisting for voting on the draft Telangana Bill, resulting in the adjournment of the House for sometime.
Soon after the House assembled at 9 am, the Speaker Nadendla Manohar announced that all the adjournment motion notices given by the opposition parties have been disallowed. Immediately, the YSR Congress members rushed to the podium of the Speaker and did not allow the House to continue debate on the Bill.
When agitating members did not pay heed to his request to resume their seats and cooperate in smooth functioning of the House, the Speaker adjourned the House at 9.8 am for 15 minutes. The house met again at 10.15 am when the debate on the draft Telangana Bill continued. (NSS)
