YSR Congress Party MLAs, led by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy today paid rich tributes to the martyrs, who lost their lives while protesting against the power tariff hike by then TDP Government.
They observed the 14th anniversary of the police firing at Basheerbagh. Three people died in police firing on August 28, 2000 when Chandrababu Naidu introduced power reforms for the first time in the county and hiked power tariff. (NSS)
