AP Labour Minister K Achchen Naidu today lashed out at the YSR Congress party for extending support to TRS in the Monday’s MLC elections.
Talking to mediapersons here on Sunday, Achchen Naidu said YSRCP’s move exposes the nexus between YSRCP chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. This is clear that the Leader of the Opposition in AP Assembly has some secret understanding with TRS, he alleged. The YSRCP is aligning with Congress in Andhra Pradesh and TRS in Telangana to target the Telugu Desam, he charged.
Expressing surprise over the YSRCP extending support to the TRS, the minister asked, “How can the YSRCP justifies itself extending support to the ruling party in Telangana. The bone of contention is that two of the three YSRCP legislators joined the TRS in the recent times and now the latter sought the support of the former. The minister termed the election-eve coalition as unethical and against traditions of elections.
Achchen Naidu’s comments assume importance as the YSRCP came in for supporting the TRS in the wake of Telangana IT Minister K T Rama Rao making a telephonic call to Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. Stating that there was no Opposition party in AP and people are watching the political affairs in the two Telugu States, Achchen Naidu said Jagan never talked in favour of Andhra Pradesh. It is Chandrababu, who is developing the State and implementing welfare schemes. (NSS)
