YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy has decided to field N Surya Prakash as its candidate for Warangal bypoll.
YSRCP Telangana working president Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy today said as per Jaganmohan Reddy’s decision Suryparakash will be contesting the prestigious turned elections in Warangal. Srinivas Reddy handed over B-Form and a cheque of Rs 25 lakh towards election expenses on behalf of the YSRCP to N Suryaprakash at party headquarters Lotus Pond here.
Speaking to mediapersons later, Srinivas Reddy said their candidate will give a stiff competition to the ruling party. “Our campaign will be on welfare schemes implemented during YSR regime in undivided Andhra Pradesh”, he stated. Reddy also criticized the TRS Government for failing to implement election manifesto. He refuted comments that the YSRCP was fielding a candidate only to favour the ruling TRS party win electoral battle by making a split of Congress votes. Unmindful of the Telugu Desam and BJP’s candidate, he said that YSRCP will take on the TRS in the elections to win the Warangal MP seat in election to be held on November 21. Surya Prakash alleged that the TRS Government failed to check suicides of the farmers. “We will campaign on the suicides and failures of the government to the people in the election”, he said. (NSS)
