CPI deputy floor leader Koonamneni Sambasiva Rao alleged that the Seemandhra leaders were trying to get political mileage and hence they were obstructing the House.
Speaking at the Assembly media point here on Tuesday, Koonamneni said the agenda of the leaders from Seemandhra region was only to become champions in the name of Samaikyandhra demand but they didn’t have the wish of Samaikyandhra in the mind. He demanded that the Speaker suspend the members, who were obstructing the House and run the House smoothly to discuss the Bill.
He also alleged that the Seemandhra MLAs were “foolishly” behaving in the House even while knowing the fact that the division of the State was inevitable. He asked the Chief Minister as to how it was possible to conduct voting on clauses without allowing discussion and demanded that the Chief Minister show interest in running the House or else not convene the House and waste public money. He asked the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, Leader of the Opposition N Chandrababu Naidu and other leaders in the House to behave like statesmen and allow the House to debate on Bill. (NSS)
