Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly here on Monday witnessed uproarious scenes on the issue of payments to the victims of AgriGold company.
Demanding an immediate debate on their adjournment motion on the AgriGold victims’ payment issue, the Opposition YSRCP members rushed to the Speaker’s podium and raised slogans demanding justice to the victims.
Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao repeatedly appealed to the agitating members to resume their seats and help conduct business in the House in a peaceful manner. The Speaker also made it clear that questions and answers and adjournments motions would not be allowed during the Zero Hour as per the rules of the House. He also appealed to the unruly members to help in conducting the House as per the decisions taken in the Business Advisory Committee meeting. When his repeated appeals for calm and order in the House, the Speaker had to adjourn the House twice. (NSS)
