YSRCP complains to ECI against Balayya

YSRCP today complained to the Election Commission of India that actor and Hindupur TDP candidate Nandamuri Balakrishna has campaigned at Mailapuram crossroads during voting. The party alleged that Balakrishna had violated election code of conduct.
Meanwhile, Rayadurgam police arrested YSRCP candidate Kavu Ramachandra Reddy and was shifted to Anantapur police station. According to a report, the YSRCP and TDP workers clashed at Reddyvaripalle, native village of YSRCP candidate Srinivasul Reddy. Supporters of both parties indulged in stone throwing. Police used teargas to quell the violent mob.
Another report said there was tension in Tolavaripalem as the supporters of TDP and YSRCP indulged in heated arguments leading to clashes and both groups pelted stones at each other. (NSS)
