YSR Congress party candidate Aadireddy Appa Rao on Saturday filed his nomination papers for the MLC elections.
Adireddy presented two sets of papers to Returning Officer Raja at 11 AM in the Assembly premises. He was accompanied by YSRCP deputy floor leader Dharmana Krishnadas, former minister Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose, MLAs B Gurunatha Reddy, Kapu Ramachandra Reddy, Maddali Rajesh, Taneti Vanitha, K Chennakesava Reddy and Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy, MLCs Meka Seshubabu, party CGC member MV Mysoora Reddy, official spokespersons Janak Prasad, Gattu Ramachandra Rao and others.
Talking to media persons later, he said that his selection shows party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s commitment towards the Backward Classes. He hoped that the BCs would get prominence after YSRCP comes to power after next elections. (INN)
