The YSR Congress party today demanded Election Commission to take action against Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N.Chandrababu Naidu for violation the provisions of the Representation of Peoples Act and the Election code of conduct. Talking to press persons after submitting a letter the Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal, the Party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu said Mr Naidu during his election meeting at Tirupati town on April 26 and today, had made nasty comments against YSR Party President Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The provocate statement by Mr Naidu will damage the communal harmony and fabric of the society which results among the people by intimidating on religious lines, he alleged and said this is nothing but criminal intimidation under the provision of IPC and violation of Sec 125 of RP act 1951 and election code of conduct. He requested the commission to take the issue as ‘sumoto’ and take action against Mr.Naidu, who made provocative statments. UNI
