YSRC complains against TDP on paid articles

YSR Congress Party today complained to Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwar Lal against Telugu Desam Party and Opposition leader in the Legislative Council Dadi Veerabhadrarao who became instrumental in giving a paid article to the leading Telugu newspaper Eenadu on June 8 and which was published apparently on June 9.

In a complaint, addressed to the CEO, copy of which was released to the media here YSRC party state Co-Ordinator P N V Prasad said the paid article, which was published in Eenadu newspaper would have approximately cost about one crore covering the banner heading under the sub-title ‘Ghori+Ghajini=Jagan’ on page eigh and ‘Jagan, Binamilu Dosukunna Rastra Sampada=Rs 16,97,335 kotlu’ on page one, would be treated as paid articles and the amount so incurred must be included in the election expenditure of all the contesting candidates who are in the fray on hehalf of the TDP.

In another complaint, Mr Prasad said Tirupati TDP candidate Chadalawada Krishna Murthy made serious comments against YS Rajasekhara Reddy and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy that YS Rajasekhara Reddy visited Lord Venkateswara temple without belief in the God and signing in the book and he was killed within one week. Mr Jagan also visited Lord Venkateshwara Temple without belief in God and signing in the book and he was sent to jail within one week. Lord Venkateswara is angry with them and punished them as mentioned above.

“I am believer of God and they are sellers of God.” These comments are come under corrupt practices and electoral offence of Chapter I, Part VII of the RP Act, 1951. Mr Prasad also requested the CEO to take immediate action against the complaints. UNI
