Nellore, September 13: The row on erection of the statue of the late chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy at the Gandhi centre was at last resolved with the authorities giving permission for the same.
With the hurdle ending, the Congress leaders and supporters of the late chief minister performed ‘Bhoomi Puja’ (ground breaking) ceremony on Sunday. Rumors spread that the Anam brothers were behind the objections raised by the civic authorities raising objections to the erection of the statue. As the civic authorities had been changing their versions time and again, the rumors gained strength. The brothers, however, dismissed these allegations.
