TDP senior leader YV Babu Rajendra Prasad has described that a farmer considers earth as his mother and alleged that late chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy had separated “this child from his mother” by giving away his lands to the rich in the name of Special Economic Zones. It was only because of this sin that Vijayamma got separated from her son, he added.
In a statement here on Tuesday, Rajendra Prasad stated that Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy had claimed that his government had created a maximum number of 111 SEZs in the entire country and had given away 1.5 lakh acres of 75,000 farmers by luring them of jobs and investments to the tune of Rs 1 lakh crores. He said that these lands were given away to some rich industrialists and in return, YSR got investments into the companies of his son Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy as bribe.
He stated that now Vijayamma was shedding crocodile tears after her son was arrested. He added that no one would sympathize with her. He stated that all the land losers know what her son had done. He stated that all the 1.5 lakh acres snatched from the farmers was illegal. Stating that then Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao was also a party to all these illegal activities, he stated that he used to issue GOs as soon as Jagan received bribes. He demanded that Dharmana, Secretaries to government and district Collectors should be arrested and prosecuted. He also alleged that YSR had turned the Special Economic Zones into Special Corruption Zones. He stated that Vijayamma owed an explanation on all these irregularities.
Alleging that Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy was acting as a covert of Jagan, Rajendra Prasad stated his irregularities also would be exposed soon. (NSS)
