YSR Reddy to be sworn in as Andhra Pradesh CM today

Hyderabad, May 20: Congress leader and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy is all set to sworn-in as the chief minister for the second consecutive term on Wednesday.

Ahead of government formation, Reddy called on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi in the national capital on Sunday.

During the meet, Dr. Reddy apprised them of the party’s performance and discussed about his likely Cabinet.

Dr. Reddy attended the Congress Working Committee meeting as a special invitee and also met senior leaders Ahmed Patel and Veerappa Moily.

It is believed that he discussed the modalities of accommodating all sections of the society and the party in the Cabinet.

But it remained unclear whether his Council of Ministers too would be sworn in on Wednesday or not.

Dr. Reddy has returned to power after registering an impressive win in the Assembly elections.
