YSR men create a scene at CM meet

Vijayawada, November 17: About 100 YSR loyalists thronged Tummalapallivari Kshetrayya Kalakshetram, the venue of 125th anniversary celebrations of Congress, here today and raised slogans hailing the former chief minister and Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

While chief minister K Rosaiah and PCC president D Srinivas were addressing the meeting, the YSR loyalists raised slogans alleging that the party leadership had already forgot the services of former chief minister to the Congress and people.

They demanded that the Congress high command make Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy as chief minister of the state to continue the welfare programmes and development schemes initiated by YSR with renewed vigour. They warned that the Congress would be wiped out in the state in next general elections if the party high command ignores the mass appeal of Jagan.

They refused to leave the place when the police asked them to give up their protest. Sensing trouble Vijayawada Central MLA Malladi Vishnu and Pedana MLA Jogi Ramesh came out of the meeting hall and pacified the YSR loyalists.

Some YSR loyalists raised slogans hailing Jagan when Rosaiah visited Ajit Singhnagar to lay the foundation stone for a government junior college building. The police dispersed the YSR loyalists using mild force.
