YSR has hurt feelings of Telangana people: KCR

Hyderabad, June 11: Reacting sharply to the remarks made by chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy in his reply to the governor’s address in the Assembly, TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao said on Wednesday that the Telangana people will teach YSR and the Congress a lesson in the coming days.

Addressing the media at Telangana Bhavan here, KCR said that YSR’s comments hurt the feelings of the people of Telangana. “We will expose the cheating policies adopted by Reddy on the Telangana issue,” the TRS chief said.Questioning the chief minister’s credibility on the Telangana issue, KCR charged that the Congress had cheated the people of the region in 2004 itself after coming to power with the poll promise of bifurcating the state and then not doing it.

Reiterating that he would struggle for Telangana until the aspirations of the people of the region are fulfilled, KCR said there was no rebellion in his party. All the leaders were united and fighting for the cause of Telangana like true soldiers. “There is no question of compromise on the Telangana issue,” he said.

In the backdrop of senior leaders attack on KCR for the party’s humiliating defeat in the just concluded election, KCR began assembly constituency-wise review of the party’s performance and leaders role in the party’s defeat. All TRS leaders were asked to submit reports on the party’s debacle in the election before participating in the review meetings.
