Congress senior leader and Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao has said that late chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy had given away valuable government lands at throwaway prices to private individuals, causing colossal loss to the State exchequer.
Talking to the media here on Tuesday, VH said that some persons from Kadapa and some officers had plundered the State. He also faulted government pleaders for supporting private individuals.
Hanumantha Rao has demanded a comprehensive inquiry into the land regularizations made since 2002. He also alleged that the land of Amberpet school was given away to private persons. He threatened to launch an agitation, if the land issue was not immediately solved. (NSS)
