YSR Congress Party Leader Bandi Venkateswara Rao was murdered by unidentified miscreants at Chitturupu Village in Ghantasala Mandal of Krishna District today.
Police said the victim was a member in the steering committee of YSR Congress Party and was a popular leader in the area.
The miscreants waylaid and hacked him to death on the outskirts of the village.
Old enmity is said to be the motive for his murder. The police registered a case and sent the body for postmortem UNI
