YSR Congress MLAs takes oath

YSR Congress party honorary president and Pulivendula
MLA Y S Vijayamma on Friday stated that the newly elected MLAs from her party
would play a constructive and opposition leaders role in the Assembly responsibly.

Addressing the media persons at Assembly media point, after the newly elected 15 YSR
Congress party MLAs took oath of office and secrecy at Assembly Speaker Nadendla
Manohar’s chamber, Vijayamma said that party has decided to work unitedly and
collectively on farmers and people’s problems.

“Our party’s top priority is to address all farmers issues including MSP, supply of
fertilizers and seeds, finance for agriculture etc,” she said.

She said that the YSR Congress party was always stood for the people’s cause and
intensifies its agitation against government on people’s problems.

Thanking the voters for electing the YSR Congress party leaders with thumping majority
in the by-elections, she said that her party would make complete efforts to fulfill the
dreams of former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and look into implementation of
his programmes and welfare schemes in letter and spirit.

Stating that YSR Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy has got a clean chit
in people’s court, she expressed confidence that Jagan would come out clean from the
baseless charges of the CBI soon.

Earlier, the MLAs paid rich tributes to former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy by
garlanding his statue at Lotus Pond.

Later the MLAs held a meeting under the leadership of Vijayamma and discussed about
course of action to be adopted in the Assembly. Later the MLAs proceeded to Assembly
in a bus to take oath.(INN)
